This is "that" drawing in which the teacher is going to show us this same drawing at the end of the semester to show us how much we have improved. I can't even tell where I am anatomy-wise, when I look at this image, but I've been told I show promise.
You look long enough at your art it'll tell you what you're doing wrong.

Quick explanation of my first speed drawing session on this site.

First, the models are way better than "quick poses". More diverse and in more elaborate poses making certain muscle features more prominent in each pic. Also, the models run the gamut of young and old, clothed and nude, and the best part "normal body types as well as toned models"

That being said, I did one of their 30 minute speed classes. No money involved.

One thing you must remind yourself of is to focus on "form first detail later". That's something Cynthia preached a lot about in class.

It worked for me in the beginning of my session, but as the intervals for each pic got longer (something I'll have to check into) I noticed myself retracing my steps, shading, massing and instead of scrolling "manually" to the next image. I sat longer than I should've with an image and began to over think them. I started critiquing myself and started to get discouraged. Once I realized what my mind was doing I stopped, took a deep breath, realized what I was doing wrong and dove back in.

You've no idea what taking a deep breath will do for your craft. It resets you.

Long story short, I'm realizing how much anxiety I bring to the table. Perhaps I should take a few deep breaths before I start "anything" lol!

Anyway, I just wanted to share that.
